World of Warcraft Server - Status Updated 24/07/2008

Is now back up but still has several issues crated by the upgrade

I started the upgrade from version 4582 to 6347 (yeah just a few versions newer) but there is so much work to be done on the database that I never completed the upgrade after spending 14 hours the server is up and going

Upgrading the character database has created lots of issues. if your character is missing let me know so I can try and fix it. Characters that are logging in for the first time are being repaired as you login in. Broken or missing items will get mailed to you so check your mailbox Broken or missing spells/skills will need to be learnt again. Pets are most likely broken - I cant fix them so replace them!

Some characters have become very corrupted and well really they cant be fixed, if yours has you will be a checkered box in the game if this has happened make a new character and mail all your stuff from the broken one to the new character then delete the old one, the time involved in fixing the character would be several hours work to not being able to fix at all.. (I know I tried to fix one of mine and gave up)

Everyone will need to upgrade their clients to 2.4.2 - thats 1.1 GB worth of updates! time to start downloading.

The WoW Account management pages are not working correctly, they do not support the new database format so I will need to redo the pages as well when I have a moment.
