MultiPOP Access
The server can pickup email from any other pop Mailbox and deliver it to your Inbox
- To use this feature you must get it enabled for yout login. Please contact the Administrator to get it enabled.
To Configure the mailboxes
- Log into the terminal server - at this stage it cannot be done from anywhere else.
- Open up Internet Explorer and goto the web address "http://ddnwhgts01:9005"
- MDaemon Worldclient will open up
- Enter your Username & Password - this is different to your new server login & Password
- In the Left hand menu Select "Options" and then "Mailboxes"
From here you can add / edit / remove aditional mailboxes
- Enable "remove mail from server"
- Most servers dont need apop - in fact dont work with it.
Server Details for different email systems
- General format is "hostname:hostport" - Hostport is required if the server is not on the standard port 25
- Hotmail -> Hostname = "pop3.live.com:995" Username = full email address
- gMail -> Hostname = "pop.gmail.com:995" Username = full email address
- Orcon -> Hostname = "pop.orcon.net.nz"
- Xtra -> Hostname = "pop3.xtra.co.nz"
- iHUG -> Hostname = "pop3.ihug.co.nz"
- Slingshot -> Hostname = "pop3.slingshot.co.nz"
- Vodafone -> Hostname = "pop.vodafone.co.nz"
- iGrin -> Hostname = "mail.igrin.co.nz"
